Wow, what an incredible time we had at the 2017 Ax Wound Film Festival. The panels, the presentations, the people, the movies, the magical little town of Brattleboro, VT and it's cold wintery weather; it was a perfect weekend. We were greeted with open arms by everyone we met and left having seen a ton of freaky films and having gained a ton of spectacularly spooky sisters. It's festivals like Ax Wound that remind you how awesome it is to be a filmmaker. Thank you to everyone who attended and to all who made the event possible. This one will always be special to us.
We had a super exciting weekend celebrating two of our favorite things: talented lady filmmakers and horror movies! All of this fun thanks to being selected to screen Huff and I'll Puff at the inaugural year of the Women In Horror Film Festival in Peachtree City, GA (which happens to take place in a hotel in the woods! Spooky). WIHFF was 3 days of horror movies of all kinds, and we got to share our French New Wave horror short in the South Eastern Shorts block on Sunday afternoon. We met so many fantastic people and even brainstormed what will be our next short film (sorry, no spoilers).
We drove home late Sunday night and to our surprise the next morning it was announced that we were chosen as the RUNNER UP for the our South Eastern category! This means the world to us! We can't wait to submit more of our short films to WIHFF next year!
